Babes in the Shade was created after a fruitless search for long-sleeved sun shirts which were UPF 50+, chlorine resistant, stylish and affordable. The mission is to create sun protection clothing for children that is:

Gorgeous - stylish, colourful designs children will want to wear Good quality - the products are UPF 50+ (as tested by ARPANSA) and resistant to chlorine and seawater (RMIT) Affordable - we strive to keep our rashies and swimwear good value to parents. (We rely mainly on word-of-mouth advertising by parents rather than paid features in publications.)
